
(a) the Reception is for Teries or direct descendants who have left Hawick and are visiting the town at the time of the Common-Riding including the partner of the returned Teri or descendant of such,
(b) to be eligible for invitation to the Reception, returned Teries or descendants must have their permanent residence outwith the regions of Tayside, Central, Strathclyde, Fife, Lothian, Dumfries & Galloway, Borders, Northumberland, Cumbria, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cleveland, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Humberside,
(c) no relative or friend may accompany visitors from the U.K. and Eire to the Reception, however, overseas visitors may (numbers permitting) be accompanied by one relative or friend from the household in which they are residing.
Application forms are now available by email at commonriding@btinternet.com or by post from Hawick Common-Riding Committee, 11 O'Connell Street, Hawick. TD9 9HT
Tickets are non-transferable and must be uplifted from 11 O'Connell Street on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June from 1.00 to 3.00 p.m. Any unclaimed tickets will be allocated elsewhere.
